Our day started with a hearty breakfast at Miyazaki City Cottage. After which, we headed to Aya Town!
At Aya Town, our first stop was a courtesy call to the mayor. Our students shared their pleasant experiences thus far in Japan, Miyazaki with the mayor.
Next, we headed to the horse farm! The students enjoyed a short yet enjoyable horse riding experience.
We also got to try some warm and delicious sweet potatos! It was perfect for the extremely chilly weather!
Managed to catch some cute rabbits in the farm too.
After spending an enjoyable time at the horse farm, we headed to the orange plantation for some fresh and juicy oranges! The students had a good time plucking oranges from an orchard full of orange trees.
Next up, we made our way to the eagerly awaited, Aya Teruha Suspension Bridge! This bridge spans the Aya River Valley and has a length of 250m and a height of 142m. It is one of Japan’s largest evergreen forest!
We had a great start at Aya town!
Soon after, we headed to the much awaited Aya Junior High School!
